Senior Research Officer
Xiomara started working in this position in May 2020. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology (honours) and a Ph.D. in Psycho-oncology. Xiomara has 16 years of experience in the provision of psychosocial support to people affected by cancer and their family (including young people), with five of these years dedicated to research in psycho-oncology. Xiomara’s work at Canteen includes the design and implementation of research to assess the impact of cancer and psychosocial interventions on parents diagnosed with the disease and their families and research on young people’s and parents’ experiences of cancer care and services.
