Zarayn is a proud Barkindji, Kamilaroi, and Murrawarri man dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. With a diverse background in healthcare, he is passionate about enhancing access to quality services for Mob.
Extensive experience spans various hospital settings, including complex trauma, Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), palliative care, and mental health. Previously, Zarayn served as the Strategic Project Manager for the Aboriginal Cancer Journey Strategy at VACCHO, where he made significant strides in cancer care for Mob. Now, as the Aboriginal Health Outcomes Lead at the Cancer Institute of New South Wales, he is committed to bringing culture to the forefront of all areas of cancer care, driving improvements in healthcare services and making a profound impact on the lives of Mob affected by cancer.
