Jaiden McGregor, born and bred in Darwin on Larrakia country and family belonging to the Nyikina people in northern WA. A young man who holds a strong passion for youth affairs and improving the livelihoods of future generations. His work for Canteen aligns with many of the other working groups and career pathways Jaiden is involved in. He's currently studying a Masters in Emergency Disaster Management while working for multiple organisations focusing on youth and Indigenous affairs.

“Having separate consultations within our group allowed for younger people to have more say, and to say things they otherwise might not have had the confidence to say. Even having our online YARN catchups have been great for us to share our different experiences and thoughts toward the sector, and it’s been a comfortable space to share.
So, when we as the YARN group came together with the Professional Advisory Group, some really great outcomes occurred. The ability to draw out what us YARN were trying to say in these consultations and the cohesion with the Advisory members has enabled this to produce good ideas and input. Stuff came together that we might not have known how to say ourselves but working together as one whole group made that a possibility and the room just bounced ideas off each other really well.”
