Delta Goodrem joins special Canteen fundraiser

Award-winning singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem recently joined Canteen for an intimate screening of her movie, Love is in the Air, with key members of Melbourne’s philanthropic and corporate community to raise awareness and funds for Canteen.

Guests attending the event at the Jam Factory in South Yarra earlier this month raised more than $64,000 to fund Victorian camp programs aimed at improving mental health outcomes for young people impacted by cancer.

Delta generously shared her personal experience of cancer, having been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when she was 18. She was joined by Canteen young program recipient Molly, who was supported after being diagnosed with the same cancer as Delta. Molly and Delta first connected when Molly was invited as a special guest on Nine’s Christmas with Delta TV show. The event included a Village Gold Class cinema experience, and after party at Village Roc’s Bar where guests had the pleasure of meeting several program recipients from the different cohorts Canteen supports.

Canteen would like to thank Delta Goodrem for her incredible support, Lizzi Morrissey, Founder of Missus M Creative as well as Executive Producer Lara Shannon for MCing the evening. The event was made possible thanks to generous support from the Frank Montagnese Foundation, Village Cinemas as well as our beverage partners Armadale Cellars and Howard Park.
