Vanessa is a highly experienced and passionate Human Resources Leader having worked in the field for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in all aspects of HR, including strategy development, learning and development, workforce planning, organisational design, talent acquisition strategy, IR, and employee relations. Her passion for balancing the wellbeing of team members and the needs of the organisation have resulted in impactful and long-term people solutions.
Vanessa has held senior HR leadership roles at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong as well as other international 5-star hotel chains which saw her working in Australia, Hong Kong, and London.
Her move to the for-purpose sector more than a decade ago, has seen her work in HR leadership and P&C executive roles. At Camp Quality Vanessa partnered with the executive leadership team on all HR-related strategies & operations and achieved the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) Accreditation for the Safeguarding of Children and Young People, the first Not for Profit to achieve this. Vanessa also led the HR function at The Smith Family, leading a large team and supporting a workforce of over 800 team members nationally.
