Siona has an extensive background in health care leadership, operational management, and strategy. As the Executive Director of Services & Impact, she served as Statewide Director for the Queensland Youth Cancer Service and member of the Queensland Cancer Clinical Network, and previously as Executive Director Clinical Support Services and Director of Physiotherapy at Mater Hospitals Brisbane.
In addition, Siona has served in Board positions, was a visiting academic at University of Queensland, and has had several leadership roles in public and private healthcare, tertiary and primary care, and community organisations. Her leadership skills have been recognised as a recipient of the Laurie Cowled Women in Leadership Scholarship, Mater Queensland Leadership Award and National HESTA Primary Health Care Award. Siona is also a Churchill Fellow and travelled to treatment settings across USA, Canada, UK, The Netherlands and Italy, where she investigated survivorship models of care for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
Siona is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Managing Health Care Delivery Program from Harvard Business School, Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from University of South Australia.
